Update Checker #685

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Can it use the Google update check, to make sure the end user has the current
version? Auto download and ask for install of stable versions, & check for
updates & ask about test version updates.

Google has a background process on OS X that checks for updates to Google apps
& plug ins, was wondering if that could be used to keep the webm plug in
updated (being that WebM is one project that Google has a big part in)

At this point we don't have any plans to fix this.

Well last I know of the Quicktime plug in does not support the current WebM,
like the VP9 Video Codec in WebM

might be able to use http://sparkle.andymatuschak.org on OS X for an updater
