I did not have time to pull serial console logs as the intention was to set up a temporary / travel use solution to tether to an Android phone via USB. I did not try v1.13.x, but v1.12.0 flashed just fine via TFTP. I don't have my own build environment set up for Gargoyle to explore if any new development commits fix the problem. Sorry for not being more complete in my report.

The device has insufficient memory to boot and remain stable. It will be dropped from support moving forward. Apologies for any wasted time in trying to run this version.

That's interesting, because it's running the current OpenWRT stable release just fine.

I'm sure you've already read this: https://openwrt.org/supported_devices/432_warning

In addition, a forum post from a user with the same device with serial connected. It won't boot because it is running out of RAM and the reaper process kills a critical function eventually. https://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=65466#p65466 And the one after it.

If you want to spend time investigating it, don't let me rain on your parade.

OpenWrt and Gargoyle memory usage is different. We have significantly more in a base build and the bwmon module runs in RAM amongst other things.

Thanks for the added information, I didn't search the forum before opening this issue, my mistake of very gross dereliction of prudent procedures of investigation. Don't have any more of these laying around collecting dust to devote the time to investigate serial output and all that at the moment, but I could probably find one on eBay. Of course, this "parade" would probably lose precedence over other things. Again, thank you for your time.
