Can not create a Simple event to Recurring via Google Calendar API #67

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create an event in Google Calendar through .NET API
2. Now try to update this event to a Recurring event

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The event should get converted to Recurring 
Instead API through exception : Attempt to update a specialized event.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
.NET libaray 1.0.9.9, Windows XP

Please provide any additional information below.

After so many times request, this change was pushedinto the production for few 
days 
and again it was rolled back for unknown reason.

I was told that the team is looking into the issue but got no response yet 
after that
