Looking for partly sunny icon #114

Hi Erik,

weather-icons is a great icon pack and I enjoy using it every day. Thank you for creating it and supporting it!

I'm looking for a partly sunny icon. I would imagine this is something between "wi-day-sunny" and "wi-day-cloudy" icons. Actually "wi-day-sunny-overcast" is very similar to what I looking for although I'm using it for "mostly clear" conditions.

Or put it another way, I need to satisfy the following conditions:

So the icons for Partly sunny/Mostly cloudy conditions overlap and cannot be visually distinguished.

Do you think that a separate partly sunny icon makes sense?

Thanks much.

Cheers, Ivan

What is partly sunny vs. partly cloudy? Sounds like a glass half empty half full situation.

Which of those 2 icons is MORE sunny?

And, as part of being a (self taught) iconographer, I have to ask how much viewer benefit there is to icons that are nuanced, are people confused with how it is now, or will they be less confused with subtle distinctions?

If you can maybe sketch on a piece of paper what I have, and then what you see a intermediate would be, that would give me a better idea of the level of different.

Hi Erik,

Sorry for my late comment here.

The problem is not with the partly sunny/partly cloudy conditions (I threat them equally). I'll put it yet another way: how to represent partly cloudy vs. mostly cloudy conditions?

So I would like to visually represent 5 different conditions (see above) but have found icons for only 4 of them, 1 is still missing.

Perhaps that makes more sense now.
