There are two points during the form flow where the user could enter personal information and financial information about their spouse. This could be confusing, and will add extra time for form completion for users. Additionally, if different information is entered in the two places, there could be data validity issues.

Toggle details
- Enter Veteran personal information
- Enter Veteran marital status as “married”
- Enter personal information about spouse
- Enter information about dependents. (The additional info component says that we consider spouses to be dependents.)
- Enter new dependent “spouse”
- Enter dependent personal information
- Answer “Yes” to the question “Did your dependent earn income in 2022?”
- Enter annual income information
- Enter Veteran annual income information
- Enter spouse’s annual income (again)
- Proceed through rest of the form
Recommended action
Not quite sure what the resolution should be, but ideally the Veteran should not be filling out personal and financial information for their spouse twice.
