1080p and higher not playable in firefox. #50

Almost all frames are dropped. The videos starts and after a couple of frames it freezes while the sound keeps playing on.

Is this a new issue? What operating system, version of Firefox, CPU, and GPU?

Hello, I am on FFox v62 64bit, on Windows 10 64bit, with 8GB of RAM and Intel GMA 4500MHD. In older FFox versions I used to be able to view them without problems even with out this extension. Other browsers play just fine.

Apparently you have different system specs.

System specs compared to yours would be Intel 2500K, 32GB ram and GTX 1070. Not trying to dismiss the issue at hand, just saying it's not wide spread as others aren't experiencing the same.

Could you at least let others resolve their problems without unnecessary interference?

I'm simply providing more info, he can at least rule out OS and FF version thanks to the info I provided, which would help get whatever problem it is resolved quicker. I don't see why you're bringing any hostility here.

@NikosK72 This issue might be due to missing GPU acceleration. Can you go to about:support (type in address bar), click "Copy text to clipboard", then paste the text here?

Are you also experiencing this issue with other browsers such as Chrome or Edge?

@erkserkserks In Chrome and Edge it works flawlessly. In the performance section I have disabled everything. If enabled, even 720p isn't playable. Strange how, with the extension disabled, the videos play smoothly. Here is the text from the support info of my FFox:

Indeed, the driver was outdated, but what MS delivered through updates. I have updated the driver, force enabled gpu, but at no avail. I guess I have to move on to better hardware. Thank you very much for spending time on my problem, it is much appreciated. Nikos.
