is it possible to allow vp8?

What is your use case for allowing vp8? Are there videos that are vp8 only?

In some situations you might be able to just get smooth playback with VP8, but not have quite enough power for VP9; VP8 takes quite a bit less processing power.

Gotcha. I'll add this as an optional feature for v2 (which may take some time)
