H254ify fails to apply the hardware decoder #91

The extension fails to deploy the hardware decoder to decode the videos, this is what I found when I look at the media intervals:- image Meaning that this is not using the hardware decoder and rather the software decoder, this was not the case a few weeks back, please look into this because my laptop becomes unusable if a video is watched alongside doing other tasks!!

in the month of April the extension is working pretty well on youtube I mean its decoding the youtube video in 1080p 60fps in my Graphics Card(nvidia gts 450 kinda old i guess.. but its working) but now a ("month of may") i see something was off cause my youtube video is lagging when i put it on 60 fps and i opened my task manager to see whats wrong i see the gpu is at 0-13% (i was expecting it to be higher) but i see my cpu is skyrocketing in 90% and i cant do about it whats wrong? how can i fix it the extension was working well but the video decode is not working Anymore.

FireFox 123.0.1 (64-bit), can confirm that the plug-in has stopped functioning, and the H264 override in another plug-in (Enhancer for YouTube) also fails. It looks like a back-end YouTube update has borked whatever method both plug-ins used to override the default V9 encoder.

Forget about "forcing" anything to Google services (like youtube) through Google browsers (like Chrome). Their world, their rules. Sadly.

Well, its still working on brave.

Maybe its an issue with Chrome / Chromium and not the extension. On my old Windows laptop, I have to put --disable-gpu-driver-bug-workarounds --enable-features=D3D11VideoDecoder then check chrome://gpu Decoding section.
