e.g., ladders or some such. If no one is interested, I could try my hand at it, but I figured I'd ask if anyone else was doing it. Is anyone?

as I know, no one does that. if you can build it, i will merge it after the next stable release of upstream. but I need to merge upstream first and that needs some work (will be done in the next few days though). come to #minetest-delta on freenode IRC to discuss your ideas if you are willing to implement them.
