Overlay_vars obey order, you cannot just umerge them. Additionally, command line overrides should be more powerful than config values.

Yup, looks good. I guess no one really used this feature, seems like a copy/paste bug I created when adding the command line arg years ago :)

I apparently have a knack for running into corner cases on commonly-used tools :).
