Working on this right now. I need to know: do you have dropbox app installed on
your device?

Hey Luis,

After the recent app update it seems to be working again, with a couple of
quirks. Here is my setup:
- Motorola Atrix 4g running a 2.3.7 gingerbread based rom (Neutrino)
- Dropbox freshly reinstalled
- latest Phone2Chrome freshly installed
- freshly reinstalled Chrome extension on Windows 7 pc

When I open Phone2Chrome app the first time after all this reinstalling, it
asks to link to my Dropbox account, so I allow it etc, everything goes fine. I
wait until Phone2Chrome shows the history screens so I know it is finished

If I go to Gmail and open a link in an email, Android asks which app I want to
open it with, so I choose Phone2Chrome (as a test). Phone2Chrome asks to go
through the linking process again! I went ahead and allowed it again, but the
Phone2Chrome notification never shows in the notification tray at the top, and
the screen goes back to a sort of "frozen" version of the email I was just
looking at in Gmail (blank email body, but next/previous email buttons at the
bottom). After waiting a while, I went ahead and tapped the back key (phone
key) a couple of times and arrived back at Gmail inbox list. If I then try
again, Phone2Chrome will share the link successfully from then on.

There is one more quirk, particular to the link I was trying to share. The
link I was trying to share from inside an email was the link to this code issue
page. The full URL should be:

http://code.google.com/p/phone2chrome/issues/detail?id=17

However, when opening it from the email using Phone2Chrome (to send to my
desktop), it will only write:

http://code.google.com/p/phone2chrome/issues/detail

to the shared dropbox file it seems (?id=17 is cut off). Just thought I'd
throw all this out there to make you more crazy :-) I just know that sometimes
new users to an app may get confused and give up early, and not try to work
around an app's quirks the first time (this is not a comment directed at the OP
of this issue - but the people posting knee-jerk 1 star reviews for the app on
the Play store....)

I did not observe either of the above quirks when sharing a page in the browser
(more normal usage of Phone2Chrome than what I was doing above, probably), that
seems to work fine. For example, if I open the URL in the Android browser, and
share it with Phone2Chrome from the browser, it writes the full URL properly,
unlike from Gmail

Thanks for your work on this app, it is still great and I use it daily.

Hi,
This looks like a problem, but different from the first one. I'll keep an eye
on this, but low down the ticket priority
