I'm working this weekend in a new login screen, which will provide detailed

New version 1.7 has just been released now. Link logic has been improved and a
new login form is available.
I suggest you to give a try on it :)
If still doesn't work, please, let me know.

I've double checked my username and password, and I'm able to link via the
phone app.
The extension now gives me:
{"error": "Parameter not found: oauth_consumer_key"}
Different computer but same version of Chrome and Ubuntu.

This error have been detected in Win7 and in Ubuntu 10. Also passwords with non
common characters (* & % #) have experimented this too.
Still working on this.

I am having the same problem after installing the plugin. I can't log in. When
I put my username and password it just sits there saying "Linking with
Dropbox..." I only have alphanumeric password with upper and lowercase.
Also it may have something to do with the fact that my password starts with a
number instead of a letter. I know some systems have issues with this.

Unable to reproduce this with:
* Chrome: 10.10
* OS: Mac OSX 10.6.6
* My password pattern: number + letters + capital letters + symbol.
It would be a really great help if people with issues could write down their
password pattern. Something like this: [number + letter + number + symbol +
letter]

Hi I've just downloaded the app and have the same problem logging into dropbox
account on my computer. On the phone everything went well. My config is:
windows 7 + chrome 11 (nomral; not dev or beta) and I have $ character in my
password. When I hit Link with Dropbox button it gets stuck telling me Linking
to dropbox with a small progress icon, but the app never logs in. Please help.
Cheers

Why isn't this marked as hight priority? I'd venture to guess for every person
who reports the issue, there are several hundred who don't.
I'm running:
OS X 10.6.7
Chrome 11.0.696.65
My password contains lowercase letters and numbers.
Any sort of update would be appreciated :)

IF THIS STILL DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU, FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
1. Install the extension.
2. Close your browser.
3. Delete your pages file in DropBox.
4. Open up the browser and login with the extension.
5. BAM, ENJOY!

not working on win7 x64 chrome Version 42.0.2311.135
Same problem as OP
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click on extension button.
2. Click on 'Link with Dropbox' button.
(nothing else shows up on this page except a "Link with dropbox" link)
3. a broken image "ajax loader.gif" shows up (javascript errors in console)
Actually it looks like maybe your dropbox API Auth token is expired?
"Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'split' of undefined"
Please fix

scratch that, I just realized that dropbox is blocked from my work. so that's
why this is probably not working.
Maybe a better error message would be nice if the dropbox.js doesn't load.
Thanks!
