On my t590, i have installed the latest firmware updates, and bios updates, so my system is up to date and also have throttled installed, when i use cpupower to set the powersave and put on the stress test on s-tui, i get a sustained frequency of around 3.0-3.4ghz on 95 celcius for as long as 5 minutes, but when i set the it to performance mode, it throttles down to 2-8-3.0ghz within seconds, for also 95 celcius, is throttled working?
Also when i run geekbench marks i get better scores on powersaving compared to performance both on multicore and single core
my thoughts : i suspect it throttles down quicker on performance mode because the frequency is within 4.6-4.8ghz which also gives the cpu a high temperature, where as on power save, the cpu is on a lower frequency having lower temperatures, so it has to ramp up while being stressed to higher frequency and gets throttled again when it reaches 95 C
