2 years ago Thanks for raising this. I assume you meant the "modded" drivers in the repo in the drivers directory. I wouldn't recommend using them anymore. They provide a small (5--10%) perf boost on certain benchmarks, but they quickly bit-rot.
The preferred way currently is:
- Use upstream rdma_core for the Infiniband transport
- The "raw" transport, which the modded drivers optimize for, is currently unsupported
- For Ethernet NICs, DPDK is the recommended way
When I try to install the provided drivers, I get the following error: configure: error: <infiniband/driver.h> not found. libmlx5 requires libibverbs.
While I have the libibverbs installed and I can install Mellanox OFED driver, and everything works fine. Do you have any clue what could cause this issue?
