Motivation Letter to work at Ersilia (Week 1 Tasks)

Dear Erislia team and fellow contributors, It's a pleasure to be working with you all. I found out about outreachy when I was working with one of my seniors on a data science project. I decided to give it a shot and therefore, wrote my initial application.

4th March the results come out and HURRAY!! Initial application approved. I was so happy and excited, but what followed it was not as wonderful. Despite having made multiple projects using Python, Django, Flask, Medical Imaging and Signal Analysis Hub, Data Science and Machine Learning, this would be my very first time, properly contributing to open source. I was simply so overwhelmed by everything that's going on. But then I stumbled upon Ersilia. I ticked all the boxes when it came to their 'Required', 'Preferred', 'Nice to Have'. So I went with it and joined their team on Slack.

The team and the mentors I found were so so cooperative, understanding, helpful, and not to mention, EXTREMELY smart!!

Every task was specified so beautifully, the gitbook was impeccably made with so much love, everything was so easy-to-understand thanks to their way of presenting.

The Ersilia team can take the most complicated of the things and simplify it in the best way possible.

To be very frank with you, chemistry as a subject used to be intolerable for me during high school, but when I read about the basic chemistry that we would be using for this project in the gitbook, it interested me and I couldn't wait to work more and learn more.

You ask me why I want to work for Ersilia, I ask you, WHY NOT?! Ersilia as a concept appeals to me so much, I believe in it's cause, it's work, it's purpose, it's everything. If you ask me to devote all my time and days to this robust, wonderful, beautiful project to make it even more wonderful, I would. I happily would.

I believe that projects like these can help in truly tranforming our society for the better. I wish to be a part of ersilia regardless of whether I get selected as an intern or not.

If you've made it this far, thank you :) And big thank you to Ersilia and team Special Thanks to Ms. Dhanshree Arora, the one whom I've been following for quite some time and the one who's content gave me the courage and motivation to work towards my dreams.
