We need to survey the literature in search for African variants.
Things to consider:
We do have a set of "favourite" ADME genes (~300), available here. These genes have a relatively high importance in PK/PGx and therefore we should prioritize them (if necessary).
SnpEff already provides population frequencies. For example, in annotating the 1000 Genomes, we are able to extract population frequencies easily. See this dataset for an example.
Another potentially interesting resource could be the UK Biobank, which has been recently studied in the context of pharmacogenetics McInnes et al 2021.
We should survey the literature in search for variants that are prevalent in Africa. @AnnaMontaner feel free to add in this thread the literature that you consider to be more interesting in this regard.
