use of plugin library mechanism? mark official plugins?

The address from which the json file contanining the list of plugins can be downloaded is specified as the url field in $:/config/OfficialPluginLibrary (by default in the $:/core plugin). I'm not sure how to find the address in a different wiki, e.g. Jed's, but it's probably possible one or another.

Just for my convenience, here are the addresses of the two libraries I'm aware of:

• http://tiddlywiki.com/library/v5.1.9/index.html
• http://ooktech.com/jed/pluginlibrary/testing/index.html

Possible problem: the address is for a specific version of TW; I assume the repository would always use the last version (?)

Anyway the most important question is: what exactly can/should be done about this mechanism?

• only mark the plugins which are also in Jed's list
• use it as an alternative validation source
• other?
