Cannot import name 'update_default_config' from 'astropy.config.configuration' #1

Open sdcorle1 opened 2 months ago

The import section failed because the class: update_default_config no longer exists in the current version of astropy. In order to get the python notebook to run, I had to uninstall astropy and install version 5.3.4

Thank you for the feedback.

Did you use an environment created according to the prescription we provided in https://github.com/esa/gaia-bhthree/blob/main/environment.yml ? That should avoid this problem.

Sorry, no. I was lazy and started running the notebook as it appeared. I also tried running in the Binders environment, but after repeated attempts to start an instance, I canceled the run.

However, with the change to Astropy that I mentioned, I am happy with the local use of the result.

Thanks.
