traits can be serious (republican/democrat, religious/non-religious) or silly (cat-lover/dog-lover, vegan/carnivore) but should not be nuetral forms, as that would be the external group
in level 3, neutral profiles will appear (boolean). in these cases, articles with any stance at all are free game, however sharing too many of the same kind in a row (3) will cause a stir. (not included in the scope of this issue, but for reference)
