Also, make things more concrete, and add specific guides for different kinds of questions that a research software supporter is likely to get. This is tricky, because we don't have research software supporters yet, and so no people who come to ask them questions, so we don't know what the research supporters need to know.

However, it seems that the first wave of questions will likely come from researchers who have to write a software management plan. So we can start from that, figure out what questions they're likely to ask when doing that, then put the responses in the teaching materials.

One other aspect is who the learners are. It seems that we get quite a few data stewards and data supporters, but it's not clear whether the same people will also become software supporters, or whether different people with more of a software background will be hired. It may be a good idea anyway to start the course by explaining how software is typically used and developed in science, to explain the context of the people coming to ask for support.
