Schemas hosted on behalf of the Local Government Association related to the the local government transparency code and other local open data initiatives.
It would be very helpful to include a unique candidacy identifier. Failing that specifically stating how it could be constructed from other present columns. This would be a way to reference each candidate in a specific election in other services. The identifier should be unique and unchanging.
A use case for this would be an external datasource that provides additional information on a candidate outside of the scope of this schema. For example gender, social media accounts, web sites, additional name information (eg title), were they at the time an incumbent, images. The identifier would make it easy to access this.
