Today's steering committee meeting talked about the reopening of issue #112 and decided the following:
lists that change rarely and are resonably short should be represented as an enum, e.g. storage classes, transport hazard classes, German water hazard classes.
lists that are either very long (UN numbers) or change infrequently and often and independently from SDScom (like GISCODEs) should not be strictly enforced with the need to change the SDScom release accordingly. Instead, these should be implemented as a pattern.
This means that we will need to change the GISCODEs type to a string.
