For clarification:

There isn't basically anything specific for space sciences in EDAM yet, but it is part of the medium-term plan.
Personally, I've been hoping that filling those gaps, especially when it comes to astronomy, could be something done in the beginning of an eventual OSCARS project (@annefou @beatrizserrano) or otherwise some small hackathon/sprint
On the other hand, EDAM and EDAM (Bio)imaging contain a large amount of concepts related to data analysis, data management, and modelling, relevant amongst all data-intensive sciences (in total around 4000 concepts)
Collaborative development branches are: EDAM, EDAM (Bio)imaging (register first, then click the links again)

Yeah I thought something like that. There are already some ontologies in astronomy, and they also have naturally some data analysis concepts. It would be good to compare with EDAM and harmonize. We should be able to find some common base.
