Well, that is peachy. At issue here is that pyinstaller is building code on a Intel MAC in Github, and never thought to investigate a universal build. The only solution, at this point, is to get the source code and build the app manually. So long as pyinstaller supports the M1 platform it will work. Otherwise, you'll have to run the source code manually. I have no idea if Intel pyinstaller code would work on Rosettee on an M1 Mac - but from the stack trace, I'm assuming not.
Basically, someone has to look into updating the build on GitHub to build an intel and M1 Mac version perhaps as a universal build.
More info. Googling around GitHub, it seems alot of people are having issues with software building on the M1 Mac. Here is something to keep in mind if you are going to try to build it yourself (from tensor flow):
hello guys I think I have found the solution. first, uninstall anaconda and any python3 that you didn't download from apple. then please xcode-select --install(maybe you can download Xcode from app store) after that, you will get python3.8.2 from apple , please check if your python is 3.8.2 and it's path is/usr/bin/python3. if succeed, run the install_venv.sh again. ps:in the last step, you should build a new venv,or just delete the old venv on anaconda/python3 not downloaded from apple and it works finally.
It is important to you python supplied by Apple as they have compiled things to build on M1.
As of December 2020, Github doesn't have a solution for build code on M1 Macs: https://github.com/actions/virtual-environments/issues/2187
There are cloud providers offing M1 mac's (AWS apparently), but it would require setting up an externally setup GitHub runner. Suggest uses needing M1 support build it themselves for the time being.
Hi Buck But Crossmgr 3.0.58 20201104092209 is working fine, could you please also guide how to build/ compile the files. Regards
I suggest trying some of the newer builds as Ed has reverted back to an older version of python which might work under Rosetta. Otherwise, instructions to build the software are here: https://github.com/esitarski/CrossMgr/blob/master/README.md
Latest build of Crossmgr (3.0.62) is not working on Macbook M1, but Crossmgr 3.0.58 is working, that is why I was wondering what could be wrong with SprintMgr as that version is quite old.
Try the latest DEVELOPMENT build. Ed just dropped back to Python 3.7: Dev Build
No even they are not working, same error as submitted above.
The Linux and Windows builds are now all working locally. I was able to install and run all the executables. Unfortunately, the github builds required the Mac build to succeed. On to the Mac build...

Can you try the Dev build again? Thanks for your patience.
dmbuild does not work on any Python version except 3.7. This has now been reverted in all the build scripts.
There were also some wxPython update issues that I fixed on the Mac. Specifically, in wxPython 4, the agw flatnotebook crashed. The crash sometimes happens on Windows too. The solution was to use the native notebook widget which works.
My old Mac has Python 3,8 so I can't test my local builds, bu reverting to an older version will cause other problems. I am looking into how to get the most recent version of dmgbuild which is supposed to support > 3.7 Python.

Wow, CrossMgr 3.0.62 beta in dev builds is now working. need same changes in SprintMgr and PointsRaceMgr too.

OK, some progress on CrossMgr.
The Python 3.9 dmgbuild issue runs into a problem in biplist. This is described here https://bitbucket.org/wooster/biplist/issues/12/python-39-compatibility. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Double points not updating in score panel in the points race --Fixed in latest Build.
no option to finish the race and publish the result. --The race is considered over after the number of sprints has been entered. --The last sprint will be used for the finish order, so it is important to enter all the bib numbers so that ties can be broken. --If you want to end a race early, just change the number of laps.
export to HTML or Excel not working. --Fixed in latest build.
if I change any bib number in sprints won, not updating in the results panel. however, if I change laps then it updates. --I can't reproduce this. It is possible that a bug you ran into earlier prevented it from working.

OK, some progress on CrossMgr.
The Python 3.9 dmgbuild issue runs into a problem in biplist. This is described here <https://bitbucket.org/wooster/biplist/issues/12/python-39-compatibility . Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Hi Ed
Now waiting for similar updates on SprintMgr.
Regards
Available since yesterday. Check here https://github.com/esitarski/CrossMgr/releases/tag/latest. I need to do a review of the program and check that it accurately reflects the latest UCI rules for individual sprint.
And, there are some "issues" with Keirin:
If you have any suggestions let me know.

Hi Ed SprintMgr is working fine on M1, as per latest UCI Sprint rule a. 24 qualifiers instead of 18 b. No repechages in Nations (World) Cup/ Championships, c. For Nations Cup/ World Championship need to have 28 qualifiers with 4 direct qualifying for 3 round and remaining 24 for 1/16 final. d. my request though please keep other options presently available like 16, 12, 8, 6 and 4 starter option. e. One request is for Omnium, we already have tempo and PR in PointsRaceMgr but will need to add Scratch and Elimination in proper sequence for ranking in corresponding events.
Regards
The competition formats have been upgraded to the new UCI rules. I also roughed-in being able to specify these externally. There will also need to be a way to control whether the Event is best of 3 or best of 1. And, Keirin should be able to be seeded by UCI points as well qualifying time.

You should move it to the Bin."
