The readme instruction just says "Install the script". The install.sh gave a file not found error. It would be nice if the readme said where to install it.
I got it to work by naming the kwin-forceblur-master folder to just forceblur and putting it in ~/.local/share/kwin/scripts. Then I copied the metadata.desktop file to ~/.local/share/kservices5/forceblur.desktop
After that it worked great and was just what I needed.
