After removing 18.0 from the website, it persists in the available list of updates to install. Pressing install on that release makes the application hang for a few seconds, before finally crashing System Preferences.
Afterwards, it appears as if the release was installed; starting it up produces a terminal with a different erlang version installed (this might be my default erlang installed somewhere else).
