Make packages available via yum/apt repos. This is not mandatory to because packages can be downloaded with WGET and then signature can be checked.

rebuild index for apt/yum repos
ensure same metadata as the old sytem
install erlang via repos and not wget (this can be done onece S3 is turned into a repo (yum and others))
