Hi @abhisheksavita ,
I am not sure if I understand your issue correctly.
Which part of the bug message would you like to change?
What you showed in your screenshot is actually not a bug message. In the top you see a message telling you that there has been a bugfix regarding OASIS restart files. Then you see which files you have selected as OASIS restart files. This selection is part of the bugfix mentioned in the upper message. What indeed confuses me here a bit, are the version numbers of esm_tools. Since the message suggests that you need to update esm_tools in order to get the bugfix.
@mandresm Are there any additional changes needed for the OASIS restart files bugfix that are only available since esm_tools versions 6.21.23 ?
Thank you.
Dear Nadine and team thank you very much for your prompt reply, and apologise for not making my issue very clear and concise. So, I reproduced the main concern I wanted to report. I submitted the job again and got the messages please see the screenshot. If you see the screenshot it is suggesting to select one of the oasis restart files. Actually, I need all the restart files listed there for my viking10 configuration. So, my concern is why I am getting these two unnecessary choices (see the screenshot) to select restart files though I need all of them. Do you think it can be fixed if I update esm_tool version 6.21.19 to 6.21.23?
many thanks Abhi

Hi @abhisheksavita ,
thank you for your reply. Now I understand it. I implemented the selection of restart files where there were only two types. I know that @mandresm did further changes regarding these restart files. So if it is possible for you, I think it would be worth updating you esm_tools to the latest version (should be now version 6.27.4, if this is possible) or at least to version 6.24.2, since there was also an issue regarding restart files by @seb-wahl that has been solved in this version.
Let me know if this solves your issue.
Hi Abhi
Please do not yet upgrade to the version recommended by @nwieters
The version of OpenIFS you may want to run might not yet be included in the latest release as our branch geomar_dev
has diverged from release
as both @JanStreffing and @joakimkjellsson have been heavily developing OpenIFS. I'm currently merging the latest release branch into our branch. I'm done with the manual merge of oifs.yaml
but I still need to run some tests.
Is this issue solved for geomar_dev
now?
thanks, and yes it is solved now @mandresm
Hi This is the first time I am posting an issue here, and apologies if I am not following the right format of posting a query. So, I'm trying to submit a test simulation using focioifs with viking10 configuration and getting an error message such as " ? More than one OASIS restart file was found for your branchoff experiment that matches the ini_restart_date you selected. Please select one of the following OASIS restart files:" When I press the arrow keys, it successfully submits the job with a few additional messages, as you can see in the screenshot. Additionally, when I checked the work folder in my experiment directory, I noticed that all the restart files had been copied to the work folder. I thought it would be helpful if you fixed the bug messages I am getting when submitting a job. I am using esm_tool version 6.21.19 and focioifs-agrif-3.0, and I am running this experiment on a glogin machine. PS: Please also see a bit more detail in the screenshot (attached). Many thanks in advance! @mandresm @seb-wahl @joakimkjellsson
