I don't really know how to debug that yet, as I can't reproduce the error, and haven't seen anything similar. The error tells me that python3 (from the anaconda3-bleeding_edge) is trying to install something that is python2 ( "reload(sys)"). My guess is that you have something installed locally in your mistral HOME, but I don't have the permissions to look. Maybe we need to fix that together, in a jit.si session. Monday would be Ok for me

Ok
@dbarbi @JanStreffing Please what time should we meet today?
Hey Stanley, I'll be at the FESOM days and not participate with this meeting. Let me know if my help is needed and I can jump in for a few minutes. Cheers, Jan

Alright.
fixed together
steps I took before getting the error message.
I cloned git "git clone https://github.com/esm-tools/esm_tools.git"
$ module load git $ module load anaconda3
From the esm_tools, I did ./install.sh and get the following error message below;
Note: I already added
export LANG="en_US.utf8" export LC_ALL="en_US"
to my Environment but it still doesn’t work.
