This fixes case where large spikes appear in aggregates after a period of missing data. See esnet/esxsnmp-legacy#6

This looks good to me. I don't see an option for me to merge it myself though. Should I?

OK. I'm going to merge it. @mitchell-es the convention we've used for dealing with pull requests is that the person who created the PR does the merge after someone has signed off on it.
