Let the show begin.
Yeah! iOS version is available on AppStore, macOS coming.
Thank you very much for all your work, so glad to see it on AppStore.

@djphoenix Awesome job! Thanks for the time and effort you devote to this invaluable project.
Will TestFlight be used for testing new features and changes and new TestFlight builds continue to be released, or will development entirely transition to the App Store version?
@emassey0135 indeed, I will first share new builds on TestFlight. As new functions becomes stable I will publish a new version in AppStore and start experiments again.
It was a long time, but version for macOS is available in AppStore now too.
Love it! Easier than Praat (which is very easy). May we have audio export?
@djphoenix Any chance of releasing the latest beta on the App Store? The latest Testflight beta will expire soon. Thanks.
@djphoenix Thanks for the new Test Flight release!
@djphoenix Greetings. Any update or news regarding the new TestFlight beta or an App Store release?
@djphoenix Greetings. So sorry to ask this, but is the project effectively dead? I'd appreciate at least an announcement regarding its future.
Hello, he already answered that a new release will be published 2 weeks ago in #48.
This is an open source project, so he will probably work on it when he has time. In the meantime, the AppStore version is not dead and works, although it does not have the ability to reduce SSML pauses.
@nidza07 Yes, but he didn't specify the timing, so it wouldn't hurt asking him.
Yes, but he didn't specify the timing.
Timing questions on open-source projects will never be answered. As I can predict, it will be on next days, maybe middle of week. But I can never guarantee any timings since it is just a (my favorite) pet project, along with my work, family and other ways to spend my time. Ah, I should also sleep sometimes... 😄
Version 1.1 for macOS is ready to install in Mac App Store. iOS version is still "Waiting for review"...
1.1 for iOS also landed.
@djphoenix Thanks for the App Store update!
Excuse my ignorance. Does current version work as a spoken content engine in iOS 17. I think so but not sure. I'm trying for example to get Urdu espeak voice working as a tts engine but can't figure how
@willwade Yes, this should be possible. However, before it shows up, you have to open the ESpeak NG app, and under VoiceOver languages, enable Urdu. Note that this applies even if you are using it for spoken content and not for VoiceOver.
After you do this, it should show up as one of the languages, perhaps not right away in some cases, but after a few minutes it should definitely be available.
Ok. So this is a video of me trying this. I feel I'm doing something really stupid. https://imgur.com/a/BeRT3Si - I just can't see Urdu in the system voices. I was expecting under system voices to be a new list for like espeak but not seeing this either.
I will publish a links here as soon as available. It’s on TestFlight review and can take 1-2 days.
