The problem
The Mopeka Pro Check specs show a temperature range of -55 to 140F (-50 to 60C). When the temperature is below 32 deg F, ESPHome reports the temperature as 484F. The Mopeka app displays the temperature correctly so this appears to be a bug in ESPHome.
