ASyncWebServer 3.1.0 invalid UTF8 in frame #5522

The problem

I switch from using the me-no-dev ASyncTCP/Webserver stack to the ESPHome forks but now I am getting an error in a web socket handler:

WS error Invalid UTF-8 in text frame�?T�?`@?ﾭ�xV��8�?0
