PF1ed Support: Show additional equipment categories #154

Open Amd321 opened 3 years ago

The current token hud build for PF1e does not show all categories of equipment from the character sheet. If the missing categories could be added that would be much appreciated. Missing categories are Gear, Ammunition, Misc, Trade Goods, and Containers. Thanks!

The point of the HUD was not really to show everything, but rather to show everything that has an associated action you commonly use. If it shows everything then the HUD quickly becomes too big and it becomes impossible to find anything. For example, at the moment I don't think it makes sense to add something like trade goods because they don't really do anything, and this probably goes for some things in the other categories too. I'm happy to hear further thoughts on this.

The hud used to show the Gear section if 'Show empty items' was checked in Modules Settings, but now it doesn't. That functionality should at least be restored. I think at least Ammunition should be shown, since it's something that needs to be checked a lot before using ammunition based weapons, such as ammunition remaining or ammunition types available. As for the other categories, you could always add an option in Module Settings to toggle show them. Trade Goods might not always be 100% useful, but Gear, Ammunition, and Misc are. For instance, there are several item listed in the compendium that are set in the Gear section which have an associated action, such as Acid, 'Alchemical' named items, Antiplague, Antitoxin, Caltrops etc.) Also, sometimes a player or GM just want to be able to roll items to show descriptions (either in public or private) without having to go in the sheet. This is especially the case as a GM when in combat and you don't want to have to slow down everything to check multiple NPC inventories and see what those items do.
