ComSkipper Hangs on Launch With Mavericks 10.9 #57

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Mavericks
2. Run ETVComskip
3. Run Activity Monitor

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

ComSkipper should run normally, but it is shown not to respond in Activity
Monitor.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Latest with h.264 mods.

Please provide any additional information below.

This doesn't appear to affect commercial marking on my system. Which purpose
does ComSkipper serve?

I see from the python script /Library/Application\
Support/ETVComskip/ComSkipper.app/Contents/Resources/ComSkipper.py that
ComSkipper is used for live playback during live tv.

The h.264 mods change operation so that comskip starts AFTER recording AND
transcoding, so this could be part of the issue, although this just worked in
ML and previous.

More likely it's related to some python library issue with Mavericks. Time to
go through the effort of upgrading python libraries on this project?

Bump! Any progress? Fresh Mavericks install and 'ComSkipper' (Not Responding'
in Activity Monitor.

Same here. Comskip was working just fine until I updated to Mavericks. I'm
reading that there should be a folder named "scripts" inside
LIbrary/Application Support/EyeTv with bunch of scripts in it but this is no
longer in there. I'm unable to install fresh etvcomskip as it tells me the file
is damaged. No clue what to do
