My ddclient process detected an ISP dynamic IP address change a few days after I began running this script. This hasn't happened in more than two years, though it is always possible (that's why you run ddclient).
It may be coincidental. It also may be that my ISP has an open web proxy detector tickled by this script's traffic—the traffic would be consistent with an open proxy—and changed the IP as a response. I don't know the answer, but took note of the occurrence.
I'd be interested if anyone else observes this action.
