Even if the full text search is already possible by means of the SPARQL extensions made available by Blazegraph, it is important to add an appropriate widget in the Website so as to allow users to properly search for resources as happens in common search engines.
From notes on Project Meeting 17th Oct 2017:
Development of query interfaces
Objective: To be able to interrogate OpenCitations content
Simple human query interface: Single text box – enter author name, fragment of title, or identifier
Return list of all bibliographic entities matching query
Advanced query interface – permits Boolean operations
Enter Author 1 Family name First name / initial or ORCID
and/or Author 2 Family name First name / initial or ORCID
and/or Title (contains)
and/or Keywords / phrase
Response
Return as many hits as meet the criteria
For each returned paper, give the user the ability to:
Copy citation (bibliographic metadata) [With a Choose Format box]
Or Show incoming and/or outgoing citations (opens graph display)
Even if the full text search is already possible by means of the SPARQL extensions made available by Blazegraph, it is important to add an appropriate widget in the Website so as to allow users to properly search for resources as happens in common search engines.
