confirmed + same here! on top: if i press enter, i get a blank page?
Same here, using Firefox 36.0 and Instantfox 3.0
Same issue. Instantfox is now unusable.
Suggestions and previews still works, but a blank page is presented when I press enter. On rare occasion that it works, the last character is omitted in my search results.
Was working fine with Firefox 35.0.1. Stopped working when Firefox upgraded itself to 36.0.
Example search: "testing" Last character missing URL reads: https://www.google.com.sg/search?q=testin&gws_rd=cr,ssl&ei=5EvxVIykBcmRuASJi4GgDg
Blank page URL reads: https://www.google.com.sg/search?sclient=psy-ab&biw=1920&bih=945&q=testin&oq=&gs_l=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.&bvm=bv.87269000,d.c2E&fp=ad1bcb0e39bd5a7e
same here, I cannot understand why addons get worse Instantfox /was/ one of the best
Any updates on that? Seems to be an incompability introduced with FF36, but surely that should be fixable?
Any updates on this? Still an issue in FF 37.0.1 and InstantFox 3.0.0.
Same issue. Firefox 37.0.1 with InstantFox Quick Search 3.0.0
Confirmed bug. This behavior only happens when Instant is enabled. It also doesn't occur with single character queries because Instant doesn't get invoked. I did a bit of looking in the debugger and found that if I am typing "g 3d" it begins looking for instant suggestions when I type "d" but at that point the query only includes "3". I haven't found where the last character is actually dropped. My current workarounds are to disable Instant or add a space after each query.
I get a duplicated last character when using TAB or RIGHT ARROW to accept a suggestion.
Fix missing last char please!
Have same bug as others.
When I'm trying to search in google, and start typing "g anything", I see google instant search page updating as I type. However, as I finish typing last letter and hit "enter", the page disappears, the final search URL changes and I get empty page.
If I disable instant updates, then after hitting enter I get normal google page.
So with instant search enabled: Searching "g stuff", hitting enter (or not hitting enter, but clicking on instant google page) - the page updates and turns empty. This is the URL: "https://www.google.com/search?sclient=psy-ab&q=stuf&oq=&gs_l=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.86956481,d.cGU&fp=12ca77ba6d55c47e&biw=1576&bih=1014&dpr=1" If I hit "back" button in browser and land on this URL which is working, but is one letter less: "https://www.google.com/search?q=st&gws_rd=ssl"
With instant search disabled, I get this (working) url after typing "g stuff": https://www.google.com/search?q=stuff&gws_rd=ssl
same here
Can confirm this problem on: Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0 InstantFox 3.0.0.1-signed
I have the same problem, and it's very annoying.
Any news about this issue?
To anyone following this issue but not issue #115: a version that fixes this issue (and a few other recent issues) was released by @fix-fix, at https://github.com/fix-fix/Instantfox/releases/tag/v3.0.1-beta.3
Often when I'm doing a search in the URL bar, the last character of my input gets chopped off. For example, I enter
g a longer term
, press enter and get a search result page fora longer ter
. If Instant-Loading is disabled, this bug doesn't occur.Firefox version: 37.0 InstantFox version: 3.0.0
