Disabling browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete
in about:config
is a workaround. Perhaps InstantFox can auto-set that on install/load.
On the other hand, it might be time to drop InstantFox and just use the built-in bar now, especially since the way InstantFox works is likely to become increasingly difficult to maintain...
It works for me as it should in both x86 and x64 of FF 43, with Instantfox 3.0.5.
It didn't work right after the update, I disabled and enabled the extension, disabled and enabled browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete
, restarted FF, installed FF x64, don't know what fixed it, but it works.
Also the similar functionality is in Firefox now too: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-search-from-address-bar
I checked out the FF search but still FAR prefer InstantFox. After disable, restart, unlick all the FF search options, enable, restart it is working fine again. I did not need to touch the setting in about:config
The entire suggestion dropdown no longer works in FF 43.
