Hi @Optimistix,
Not an author of CNVkit, but I may answer your question
=> But 1st, could you confirm that when you say "numerical range of values plotted", you mean "log_ratio values" (generally y-axis in red/blue shades)
=> What you want is a colorbar as present to the left ot heatmap
representatio ?
Thanks in advance. Have a nice day. Felix.
Hi @tetedange13 ,
Thanks so much for your response. Yes, what I want is a colorbar, with the numerical values as included e.g. with the scatter plot - log_ratio values would be convenient, in general the actual numbers corresponding to what's in the ideogram.
Thanks once again.
Best regards,
Rileen
Hi @Optimistix ,
Regarding scatter
plot, log_ratio values are actually represented by height of points (probes) and segments
=> No scale color implied here, so why you would need a colorbar ?
=> Maybe there is still something I misunderstandd in your question
Regarding diagram
plot, this is the only CNVkit representation that is not based on matplotlib
=> I am not at all an expert in Bio.Graphics
(which is used), but it may simply be impossible to add such color bar with this module
=> Possible interesting note: found a Matplotlib-based implementation of ideogram
Hope this helped. Have a nice day. Felix.
Dear CNVkit team, thanks for creating such a wonderful tool.
While some of the CNVkit plota indicate the numerical range of the values plotted, the ideogram/diagram and scatterplots do not - is there any specific reason for this, and would it be possible to include a numerical scale in these plot types?
Thanks so much!
