Hi team goanna,

Great job on your assignment, I found your analysis really insightful and it was very interesting to learn more about an issue so close to home.

1. What you did well:

• The references.bib file was well coded and utilised throughout the report
• The gif image was a nice touch
• The introduction and motivation was well written and gave great context into the background of the Australian bushfires.
• The visualisations were fantastic and very appropriate for the data (well labelled axis and well annotated)

2. Areas for improvement and how to improve for next time:
   • When I tried to knit the file, I was unable to do so because of the file structure - so I would suggest using the help file to ensure that the here::here() function is used appropriately.
   • The figures provided are fantastic. However, to improve them I would suggest making figures 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.7 and 3.10 interactive or annotating them to ensure the reader is able to identify the exact coordinates (for example, with figure 3.1 it would be helpful if the reader was able to hover over the line graph and identify the exact number of bushfires for the given month chosen). This can be achieved with the plotly package.

Otherwise, fantastic report and I found it a very interesting read. Well done!

I am not sure about the reason that you cannot knit successfully, actually, we do use the here::here function. It's a little weird.
