Feedback on introduction, data description and questions

Good work getting started with assignment 1.

Try to come up with an interesting title for the report, related to the data.

I don't see any questions developed yet. I'll try to look again over the weekend to give you some feedback on these.

Our questions are in index.Rmd, between line 85 and 88. We have pushed the questions to GitHub before friday, I think you haven't notice that. Did we lose points of step 5 because of this problem?

Hi Yiwen, Just looked at these now. These aren't questions in the sense of what is expected. Go to the Bay Area Blues paper, and you'll see a sequence of questions:

• What can we learn about the way prices rose and fell throughout a single region and across a wide range of prices?
• Are these patterns the same for homes in all price ranges? What about different cities, or within neighborhoods of a single city?
• we wonder if we should adjust for inflation to ensure that the prices paid in 2003 are comparable to the prices paid in 2008.
• Has the housing crisis equally affected the rich and the poor? Has the effect of the crisis been to improve or worsen the relative equality of these two groups?
• Does this suggest that a widening of the price gap between expensive and cheap homes is a precursor to a subsequent crisis? Has this preceded other crises?

Try to write up your introduction, paying particular attention to the motivation, and why this problem, and the data provided to study it, are interesting. Then write up a long list of questions that might be interesting to study, and pick a handful to work on.

Time is running short on this assignment, and you will need to work hard this week to do well on it.

Thanks for your feedback! We have rewritten our question and pushed it to GitHub (between line 175 to line 184), and the introduction was also pushed to GitHub. Are the questions and introduction are appropriate?
