The following was performed on Mac OS X High Sierra
Xcode and Xcode tools are installed, and up to date
I followed the wiki on compiling.
I installed cmake brew install cmake
I installed the dependencies
brew install qtbrew install boostbrew install capstone
I prepare the build dir, and then run cmake
$ mkdir build$ cd build$ cmake ..

OSX is not currently a supported platform by edb. However, we'd like it to be supported in the bear future. So we'll have to address this going forward.
