There are several reasons why this could be a bad idea:
Saws can be punched with the Feedbacker to double their damage per tick until the saw contacts a wall or enters a magnet's orbit.
If you believe this would be a good implementation, I could try it. But in my view it would be either too underpowered or too overpowered.
You can remove the coin splitting, as the screwdriver already does that, or making that only the overheat saw can split them into 3 or 4 and after the split it cant split more, with Saw Punch maybe it would accumulate speed and bounces/hits, they increase damage but the bounces/hits never change, also maybe if you punch the KB you can split the saws in half, reducing the bounces/hits but increasing the damage
Coin Splitting with the Overheat Saw is going to be absurdly broken.
You could use the Screwdriver in conjunction with the Overheat Split to get (assuming my math is correct) 32 coins. I'm pretty sure the Overheat Cooldown has half the duration of a Railcannon Charge, which allows one to spam it more often than the Screwdriver for splitting.
Saw Punch wouldn't be too worth it outside of Boss Fights or the start of a Cyber Grind Wave for just a few more hits or a bit more damage (and thats assuming they need more for default ULTRAPAIN, which doesn't even increase enemy HP via the stat changer at the moment)
Knuckleblaster saw Split does seem interesting though, but again, it might only really be useful for Boss Fights, as now it'll specialize more in Single Target Damage (Even though it already does that pretty well) Plus, there needs to be some sort of diminishing return with both the bounces/hits and the damage, since nothings stopping you from splitting over and over until we end up with a Sawcon 2.0 situation.
Feature
You can punch saws in Ultrakill, but it isn't useful, it just redirects the saw, the idea is that the saw if you punch it becomes stronger, like more damage maybe, or it can demagnetize and fly off making extreme damage, maybe even Saw Boosting.
Usage
Saw traps being more deadly if you use them well, saws being more versatile and fun, and it could let you use them more often.
Extras
Make Sisyphus and Minos have sawblade resistance at like 75% so this change doesn't make them easy, and maybe make Saw coin making coins split in half idk.
