We went through this issue awhile back, last year, probably, but I'm not seeing the thread here anymore. Excuse me if I'm missing something I should be seeing.
I got a new MacBook Pro a couple of months ago. I installed etesync-dav and set things up. The calendar is syncing fine with my Android phone. Contacts sync between the phone and Thunderbird's Address Book on the Mac. But the contacts aren't showing up in OS X's Contacts app. Same as it was last year. I think it was a vCard 3 vs. 4 issue then. But it was resolved. At least on the old Mac I've since replaced.
The localhost certificate is in place in the Keychain and it's set to "Always trust." As you know, I can't set vCard preferences in the Contacts app to version 4. Anything I can do to see contacts in Contacts?
