how do i get this to work #6

Hi there. I am really new to this system, but really want to use the website. i have followed your instructions, but when i try to do $heroku create is says:

"$ heroku create The system cannot find the path specified. " please help

Hi @lukeMersh, that seems to be an error with heroku. Perhaps with the installation or something.

many thanks. Also it was asking me for payment details, how much does it cost to deploy this app?

Ah with heroku you will be able to host this app on the free plan ;) I have used them for years and never paid a cent.

getting this error:

  1. Create app

    App creation failed. Please ensure you have valid values in the above form fields.

  2. Configure environment

    There was an issue setting up your app environment.

    • The account "lukemersh5@gmail.com" is not permitted to install the sendgrid add-on at this time. If you believe this is an error please contact support and reference ID 3d04e25b-9b0b-48e6-b9a6-62fa81734f59 when opening an ticket.

Its not that. I havent been spaming or anything.

i just dont know what it is. Heroku say its an issue with the app.

anymore ideas?

The error message is explicitly saying " is not permitted to install the sendgrid add-on at this time". The app does not control permissions for add-ons in heroku. Just create an empty app on heroku (there are a load of tutorials on this) and try adding sendgrid and you can confirm where the issue is.

ok many thanks, I was creating an empty app.

i really want to get this to work, but just dont understand why it doesnt. I have been watching the video tutorial on youtube, but it seems heroku is having issues.

I can create an app for you and add you as collaborator on heroku if you wish. The issue with heroku will be resolved shortly if you speak with them.

Hi Ed , i have spoke to them many times and they tell me is not there issue. I would appreciate it if you could create the app.

If i have a domain already , what would i need to do to get it to point to the app?

Hi Ed. If i want to remove elements of the navigation how do i do that, I have tried via admin but they are still there.
