Using cudatoolkit/7.0.28, it is not possible to debug with CRAY_CUDA_PROXY on:

CUDA debugging is not supported when using the CUDA proxy.
Unset the CRAY_CUDA_PROXY environment variable

Is it the same with cuda-gdb ? Will this change with cudatoolkit/8.x ?

AFAIK it won’t be supported, even in CUDA 8.0. Peter
