utf-8 characters get '?' after reconnect (piratenpad.de) #315

When I input special Czech characters in piratenpad.de, many of them get into '?'s after reconnect. (I am using Ubuntu/FF or Chromium, but people with Windows report the same result) see: https://piratenpad.de/p/admbLD3d6Y for an example.
