What happens if you connect to a non ssl port? Same error?

I think the key is here

X 23:39:05 stratum Socket read failed: The network connection was aborted by the local system

Do you make use of firewalls ? Some sort of IPS ? Do you have antivirus software installed ? Is QoS enabled on your network card ? Does it happen when you move/copy large files to/from the machine or in the local network ?

In all cases it does not seem an ethminer problem rather an OS problem.

No firewalls No antivirus no Qos

And haven't seen any issues on the localnetwork.

Try the non SSL port...

Also if possible what if you enter IP address vs name(unsure if it will work)?

Do you get a similar message from their server then?

If you do then as Andrei alluded to some sort of local issue.

Is the machine you run on a home network or a business one?

Going to try the regular stratum1+tcp 4444

Just wanted to update. It appears the issue has resolved going to port 4444 no ssl.

Wonder why
