Checking the Edges for V1 Complete Requirements #12

Let's use this issue to collect the functional and non-functional technical and standards requirements from our session(s) in May in preparation for the V1 push. (V1 of both the core, supporting reference implementations, and standards docs.)

The goal is to time-box the collection and triage of potential work items that we might have overlooked had we not set up time for lateral thinking about requirements and cases. We will conduct these sessions during the weekly office hours on Wednesdays (and we may do a session that is not livestreamed if anyone wishes to discuss things that aren't sent to a public forum the way our office hours are). Transferring to reference in future outreach sessions - should we start measuring future roadmap items in versions/quarters or something?
